How does one read through a Hull ID Quantity?
The Hull Identification Variety (HIN) is a 12- or 14-character serial variety that uniquely identifies a ship. The HIN is analogous to the VIN on a car.
The primary three digits are the Manufacturer’s Identification Code (ex. Boat brand name for example Sea Ray, Meridian, and many others.). The four digits following that are definitely the company’s serial number for the boat. The 3rd and 4th digits from the finish would be the date of manufacture. The letter around the date of your manufacture corresponds to the thirty day period with the 12 months, i.e. A = January, B = February, C = March and so forth. The last two digits of the HIN selection stand for the product 12 months.
